I just thought I should make clear that I wasnt actually seriously saying to do that. Although I did get a puppy for my birthday last year and it was probably the best gift I have ever got. But I knew about it before hand and my sister (who i live with) was fine with it.core_17 said:And you have heard people say that animals are the worst gift you can give a person, right? (most of the time) There are SO many different factors to think about when getting an animal. The recipient has to be ready for it, and willing to love and care for, and pay vet bills for it. Other people in the house have to be willing to accept it. Other people in the house may be ALERGIC. And what if that person does want a pet and is willing and able to take care of it fully...you still have to worry about making sure you get one that is suitable to that persons lifestyle. Definitely dont' get a puppy. That is NOT a good idea.
(sorry, that wasn't meant as any sort of attack, I just see WAY too many people with pets when they don't need or deserve to have them).
