I had the opportunity to shoot a Cirque du Soleil show called The Invisibles Paths (Les Chemins Invisibles). Great show in downtown Quebec City going on this summer. You can read more about the story line and see more images up on my blog, I wont post them all here.
Here are my faves. If you want to CC or just generally comment, please do so :)

Very dramatic and theatrical stuff, Pierre. I like #2 quite a bit, but wish it were just a tad bit brighter. I'm sure they keep it pretty dark in the arena/theatre, for maximum mood and effect, and getting shots looks like it's probably right on the borderline of shutter/aperture/ISO capabilities.

@ Derrel, thanks for the comments. The show was actually outdoors in the open air. Took place under a major highway overpass and went from 9:30 to 10:30pm. Regardless, it was dark but its still a professional show, so the lights werent horrible (thankfully).

If you have never seen a Cirque du Soleil show, make the time. They are amazing. I've seen 6. We had friends there who never saw them and were totally blown away by the costumes, singing, lights, acrobats...there were 4 aerial shows, which were intense.

This one gives a bit more of the outdoors feeling with the lamp post and street sign on the side and the Delta hotel in the back

@erose the second image was 1/125 f/2.8 and ISO 1250. It was shot at 75mm

They were spinning, but not too fast. This was more of a romantic lovers embrace style piece and they were together swinging back and forth over the stage

This guy had a much faster spin, and still 20 feet in the air with no harness
    Same camera settings.
