Terri, that's exactly what I'm talking about! I managed to eak out a living fo a few years playing bass and I had the pleasure to play with and meet some amazing musicians. And you're right, none of them had delusions of grandeur.

That's when you know you're hanging out with the real ones. And they have little use for the poseurs, either.

Anybody see the 'world idol' thing last year? It was kind of a tournament of champions of all the idol winners from the various nationalities' contests. Most of them sucked, and I think the whole thing was set up just so that the first american idol girl could win...turns out she lost. :LOL: The guy from finland or somewhere won...and he frickin' rocked. Surprisingly good!

He was good...and I agree that I think everyone was expecting Kelly Clarkson to win. I was glad she didn't. I got really sick of her really fast!

I agree 100% terri. It's so hard to amk it in the music industry! Too many people with real talent never get oniced.
