I have been messing with this same picture for the last two years or so, and for some reason just keep going back and messing with it. I think its finally time for an outsiders' opinion...

Comments/Criticisms welcome! Feel free to mess with them all you like!

is this a before and after? or are they both final outcomes?

I think they both look a little flat especially the B&W

She has an interesting face and a haunting expression. I would be drawn to it too.

Thanks for the comments... I think you're right about it being a bit flat. Oh well! (Off it goes to the archives to frustrate me some other day!)

Great expression. Try boosting the contrast a bit, and then clip the shadows ever so slightly with curves. It will make the image good good and sharp.

I also second the suggestion on boosting the contrast and you might want to experiment with adding some noise to it as well.

I love the photo itself, but the overal quality of the digital image reminds me of a frame-grab from a video.

Yeah, it was on my really old really BAD camera a few years ago... :( Feel free to play with it if you like... I tried again yesterday, but didnt come out with any results that I really liked.
