Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Below are the before and after shots with built-in flash using the Kodak ZD710. After lowering the highlights in color balance within Gimp and somewhat for midtones, wanted to get feedback if there was something else needed to help reduce the flash glare? And wanted to make sure it's not too yellow or pink since my monitor isn't calibrated at all for photo-editing.

Any and all input is welcomed!

Did you shoot raw? (The best thing you can do with built-in flash is never use it.)

This 10x P&S style Kodak digital camera stores the image in .JPG by default on SD card. Unable to find any way to change the picture storage/compression within the camera itself.

Not using a flash resulted in a poorly exposed picture.

The post was more about post-processing to see if I was on the right path. I used Gimp 2.6 to greatly lower the RGB for highlights, then moderately lower red and green in midtones, with only slight lowering of red and blue in shadows.
