Haystack Lake - High Uintas, Utah

Both images are 3 RAW files taken with AEB ( approx -3 -1 +1). Each file touched up a bit in LR, exported to photomatix, processed with the details enhancer, and then back to LR for some finishing touches.

Both look great but I would go with the color.

I'd go with the color too.

Nice photo, and excellent use for HDR.

I prefer the colour because of the sky reflection in the water. This element is great in the image and gets lost in the BW.

Looks slightly tilted to my eye, btw. Very nice, though.

I noticed a slight tilt as well, but I like the B&W. I like fine details like you have here in B&W for whatever reason. I would even bump the contrast to get a little deeper black. But overall, very nice photo and tasteful use of HDR. A lot of people get a little too excited about HDR and post up some crazy stuff.

    Thanks for the comments everyone.

I used a bubble level and am 100% the image is level. The shore line fades further away from the camera on that right side, so the trees on the right are 300-500 feet further away then the trees on the left.
