This day had intermittant clouds and sunshine. When a shaft high altitude sun hit a patch of aspen it was so bright it was literally hard to look at. This is the west side of Pikes Peak. Sony 717, no filters.

Damn, colorado is beautiful. My folks bought a retirement place somewhere around breckenridge.

nice shot, those aspens are lovely. nice framing too, with the dark evergreens.

Beautiful colors on that shot! I miss my home :(

@vonnagy: I love Breckenridge. We used to go every year for the ice sculpting competition. It was about 2 hrs from our home.

    Terrific shot with great colors!
Really makes me homesick too (this is my home and I'm sick of it!)

My brother lives in Alma up near Breckenridge. To me it is probably the most beautiful in that part of the country, hands down. He's a photographer as well.....www.januaryphotography.com
