Coloring question

As posted in the general gallery, this photo was from the Ren Fest yesterday. I was trying to give a older feel, but somehow I think it's just coming across as an offput white balance.

If anyone has some ideas how to make it older, feel free to take the pic and mess with it and post it, but be warned I might ask how ya did it. I am especially interested in vignetting, not sure if that would help. I tried making them black and white or sepia but I really like the colors in this series!

i actually do not mind that edited one at all.....infact i like it more. It does look older....maybe not the kinda old your going for but yes it does look older.

Thanks. I like the edited one too, more then the original for sure, but I think it might look better with some more done to it.... not sure!

there are a couple dif ways to vignette (make that a ton)

jerry ghionis just makes a new layer and paints low opacity black on it.

i make a new layer, with 50% neutral grey and turn blend mode to soft light, to burn and dodge use either a white or black brush

if you shoot in raw, camera raw has a vignette slider that works nicely
