Commander on D80

I understand I can use the on camera flash as a commander and then sync the SB800 up wirelessly. I can't seem to find how to put the on camera flash in that mode. Am I correct in saying I can do this?

You are right the commander mode is available, it is one of the strongest features of Nikon, The Creative Lighting System.

Under the pencil menu, go to flash mode, on a D70 it is #19, there you will see M Commander mode, if you choose TTL you will get a C and flash sign next to flash mode.

well dang, under my menu, pencil, I only have ten options and I see no flash option
