Community Theater Photography

Most of my recent work has been documenting shows at The Adobe Theater here in Albuquerque. It's fun most of the time, a little frustrating some of the time. I prefer to have the director pick some shots he/she wants & then let me 'set up' the shots for the camera, using a tripod & full stage lights. Some directors, though, prefer me to shoot during a dress rehearsal. That means I should attend one rehearsal, jot down what shots might work, then come back & try to shoot with available light & movement. I try to tell them that even multi-million dollar feature films have still photographers on set to take publicity photos - not grab-shooting & hoping for the best.

I also take photos of my cats, Smokey, Tobias, & Cissypuss.
