TPF Noob!
Is there such a place that performs GOOD Camera Repairs on Classic Cameras?
Fior example, I have a Kodak Retina IIa. Excellen lens, fast shutter speeds seem OK, film advance OK, but slow shutterspeeds 1/10 - 1sec "hang" and require turning the speed dial to B to close..
Also I have a trusted Canon QL17 GIII which doe not seem to "cock" shutter every stroke. I'd also like to see if I can have it re-calibrated fora 1.5v battery rater than use air-zinc to replace the mercury abtery it used.
Anybody know of any competent, reasonable repairmen in the US who can handle the older cameras, I have a few.
I can't spend too much on some of the others I would like to have repaired, as I give them to kids to whom I teach photography and I donate them a camera. If they complete the "course" they get to keep the camera.
If you know of anyone, please let me know..
Thanks and Happy Holidays,
Tom M.
