I've been looking to purchase a point-and-shoot digital camera lately, and have narrowed it down to the Nikon Coolpix 5900, and the Canon Powershot A95. I was just wondering if anybody had used both of these and has a preference, or if anyone has a strong opinion of either. I will be using it for travelling and mostly outdoors pics, nothing special.

    Welcome to the forum.

You can view a side-by-side comparison at www.dpreview.com
If you haven't already, go down to the store and hold each camera in your hands. See how it feels and how easy it is to use.

i'd get the 5900, for me, a PS camera is all about being small. The A95 is huge, almost twice the size of an a95 as a matter of fact.
