Would it be copywright infringement if one were to take an idea that you have seen commercially, recreate the set up of the shot, and take your own image? I have an image that I shot that I was considering using for a local arts contest but it was basically a re-creation from a shirt that I saw which has the picture on it. Would that be wrong?

    Go here: http://www.copyright.gov/
They should have all the info there. You can't copyright an idea, I'm not sure how this is viewed. Also, it may be legal, but do you feel good about doing it?
