It's a nice shot of the cat. I think it would be stronger if the cat were brighter. The bright spot on the sofa seems to compete with the cat for attention. The black lines in the back are a little distracting as well.

Other than that, I love it. The red pillow behind the cat really helps set it off against the tan color of the sofa.

The couch seems to be more in focus than the cats face.. might be my monitor though.. also, the lamp post is slightly distracting. Regardless, it's a really good shot.

The colors are beautiful and warm feeling. I do agree that the lamp or whatever in between the couch cushions kinda takes attention away from the cat, but overall I think it's a beautiful photo.

    Thanks for the help.

You guys were totally right about the cat being too dark. I lightened her up and it looks a lot better. I'm gonna try and clone the black things out but I think it's gonna be challenging because of how the wall color is a gradient back there.

Not much to add here that hasn't already been said, but the composition of this frame and the cat's eyes really make this a standout for me!

perhaps a smaller depth of feild would be nice, and a bit more focused on the cats face, because the rest is already dull, and doesn't nessisarilly need to be focused. i'm thinking aloud, but experiment...

...also more light on the cats face? maybe even a flash, who knows
