    It was time to upgrade. So today I went to photo heaven - aka B&H - and bought this one:

    now, that feels much better on my rebel xt than the kit lens. I feel like a pro...:lol:.

    This is going to be a picture perfect weekend.

    The 17-40 is one of my favorite canon lenses, I like it much better then their 17-55 IS.

    yeah, I'm curious too. I didn't try the 17-55 btw, I wanted this one because of quality and I considered it a better investment.

    Handling and full frame, especially the handling, it feels good.

    wow good for you! I am trying to get an used one for around 750 US dollars since a new one here cost more than 1100 :(

    ah ok, makes sense. I was going to be surprised if it was because of sharpness issues.
