I know #1 is too saturated, #2 i used to much A-lighting highlights on the D5000 and I should have found something to get better lighting on his left side for all three. Aslo working on composition(hard with a 6 month old, lol) these were shot with my d5000 w/ 35mm DX Nikkor F/1.8G. not to sure about my setup. i'm thinking about bringing this camera back and going with a Nikon D90 kit (AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens) or a d90 body and find a used 50 mm nikkor f/1.4g or another used lense

You need to work on composition/framing, a fill-flash would have helped.

That's all I have to say - hopefully this will give a bump to your thread and will get attentions of some experts.
