What did you use to get so close? Reversed lens?
The dof at this magnification is a pain in the arse isn't it? Especially when your subjects refuse to stay still. They've come out well.

Thanks, the camera is actually a very cheap digital one. I've found the macro on it is superb though. Thats last bug is only 1mm long. The DOf is as you say a right pain. I've generally taken several of each creature to ensure that I get something of them in focus.

I used to use a cheap digital camera as well. But... it's what you do with it that counts. That to was pretty good at close-up work. Shocked me really. Maybe that's a trend? Or perhaps we just got lucky.

What make was yours ? I've had 2 nikon coolpix and they are great for Macro stuff.

Toshiba PDR-M61. Bought for £50 second hand on eBay last April. Didn't get the best reviews when it first came out, but it served its purpose and still does.
