Crested Caracara

    Spotted this Crested Caracara while driving by the St John River the other day. I knew is was a Caracara so i made a quick U-turn for some pic's (always carry a camera :D )
    Looks like he had a small rodent,

    Awesome Eric! I didnt even know we had Caracras in the state? Definitely an impressive raptor!

    Yes we have quite a few in the state, mostly in Central and South Florida. Birds originate from Central America and Mexico. I know they are in Texas as well.
    While in Costa Rica I saw them all over the place, even on the beach!
