    So this is my first post outside of the beginners forums (and I am in every way still a beginner) I just saw this category and decided to post.

    Ill probably get my ass torn to shreds, but oh well, heres my amatuer pic. Enjoy.

    This was at the zoo, and i was trying to zoom in enough to get rid of the damn wires

    Not bad at all!

    I'd crop off a bit from the right so it is not dead-center. Then I'd lighten it up a bit. You might do a bit of sharpening on it too.

    Here's a rough edit done at work ... what do you think?

    I really like this photograph, I think the bird is cute.
    I wish the top of his feather wasn't cut off, but I can imagine it was difficult getting past the wires.
    You can tell it's amatuer, but it's a really good one at that.
