#2 represents curves in my mind well.

I like #3 the best. I think #1 doesn't look right to me because you *almost* have the whole violin in frame, but not quite. #2 I don't prefer because it is too centered. #3 is just a cool shot in my mind- it's not supposed to encompass the whole instrument so it doesn't bother me that its not all there... and you can really see the detail in craftsmanship.

i would say number 3 b/c it focus more on the actual curves.. however straighten number 2 out (its a bit tilted) and i would say its the best photograph

While I feel that the curve in Photo 3 represents "curves" best (in general), as it is ever sooo curved - rolled up really, I also find that Photo 2 is the strongest of all three presented with regards to impact given by DOF, choice of focus, contrasts and point of view. And Photo 2 is also quite, quite curv-y - albeit not quite as curly as 3 .
