Cyclamen Blooms

I'm not sure if this belongs here or not but here goes anyway .
I was mucking around with some Cyclamen's in pots and a Difuser remote flash black card and the ever present water misting spray bottle , I think the end result was worth the fiddiling.

Nothing beats a black background and the water droplets!
That, along with good lighting and a pin sharp photo and you are sure to be having "a winner"!

And I am happy to have learned the English word for "Alpenveilchen" through this photo .

OK this is another of the series that I shot as an experiment in mixed lighting ,

I used the diffuser for the sunlight in the window, along with the black card behind, with my SB28DX Flash mounted on a tripod with TTL cable connection to the camera to provide a 3D Key light.
So there you have it an impromptu mini studo for flower photography.
