D80 vs 30D

Well im just wondering how my camera is compared to the ones we use at school.

Im looking to get the d80 and wanna know how it compares up to the canon 30D?

I looked at the stats and here are the major differences:
the canon has 1/8000 shutter speed nikon is 1/4000
canon shoots up to 5fps nikon is 3fps (shouldn't matter if not shooting sports)
canon is Compact flash cards NIkon SD cards (Cards are really Cheap)
Canon is 748g NIkon is 668g

the camera being lighter isn't necessarily a good thing. the 30d is a good bit heftier than the d80 size wise, but is much more comfortable to hold and deal with.

i understand that but somepeople want a more portable camera i dont really know what sinister_kid wants and that is a reason the D40 apeals to so many people b/c of its smaller size.
Its a Nikon its no gonna fall apart in your hand i have held both of them neather is gonna do that.
They are made by the 2 compains fight for first in SLR maket

well i like the 30D but i really dont like that way you hold it.. its just awkward for me. does the 1/8000 compared to the 1/4000 really matter?

I never implied the d80 was poorly built, I recommend them to customers on a daily basis as the price on both the 30d and d80 are at an absolutely great value point.

It also appears the d60 will be pushing down in price to compete with the d40 now that the 80 is being phased for the 90. I think our new signage that went up yesterday had them a full hundred lower than before.
