D80 vs D200

Hey,

im interested in upgrading my D50, however i have a query about the D200 - the manual implies you can use non AI lenses and still retain metering, is this true? As with the D50 and D80 all the settings are manual, which whilst isn't a huge issue, costs time on sites when im working!

The reason i ask is that i have some nice prime lenses from my F50 days that i would like to use one more, however at the moment they are gathering dust!!

Yeah, the AI lenses will meter on the D200. I've used AI lenses, but it was on my FE.
