Hi, I've reached the sledgehammer stage with my D90 and really hope someone can help. Periodically (and it's getting more frequent) the cards in my D90 are showing
File does not contain image data
The card cannot be used
The card will be fine one moment and corrupted the next
I have tried formating on my D90 and computer, sometimes it won't format on the camera and does on the computer and is OK for a while.
When it is corrupt it seems to create a second DCIM file and when I go into these on the computer they both contain a 100NCD70 file but the images can't be opened and if I try to delete the images it comes up with the file name is too long (all the file names have been corrupted - DSC_00). I can get the images back using DiskDigger but the cards can fail at any time, one was fine when I went to bed and corrupt in the morning.
Any ideas Please ?

What type of SD cards are you using?
You can contact Nikon but they are going to blame the card at first.

How many different cards does this happen with? Are they all the same brand/type?

Had an issue once, but I believe it was a scratched card.
Since then, I started connecting the camera via USB. 8gig card NEVER leaves the camera.
