Daffodil and food colouring.

It's been years since I tried this. Still amazes me. Thanks for jogging the memory

A splendid daffodil and food coloring shot! Like smoke said, it has been YEARS since I tried this!

Can you elaborate on your method for someone like myself that is not familiar with it? Thanks!

Sure.
I took a flower from the garden and cut the base of the stem at a 45 deg angle. Then I placed the flower in a glass of water and red food colouring. After a day sometimes two the food colouring will start to become visible in the flower. Wait until sufficient colour is visible and shoot.

EDIT:
I shot this with the 7DmkII and 70-200mm F4
1/200, F32, ISO 100
Two 160 watt second monolights were used at full power

Very nice. I never photographed one but I remember doing this with food colouring when I was a kid.
