Dalmatian - Which photo is better?

Hi Guys the following image and subsequent reworked images are of my Dalmatian Jake

I would love to hear everyone's views on which of the different images is better/more effective and why they feel that way.

(I'm not sure why my original image keeps coming out so much smaller)

My personal favourite is # 4 as I like the cropped image better than the original and by having the image black and white it takes the redness of his irritated (allergy caused) skin away which was distracting from the rest of the shot.

I prefer #4 as there is less floor to look at making the dog the centre and B&W gets rid of the mahogany colour that is distracting from the dog

Definately #4. The colour is very distracting, but the B&W works well here.
