Honestly its not a bad idea but the way you shot made the front of the shoe look huge. Almost clownish. And the car in the bkgd is very distracting being your on a lower level. The black at the top is also cropped very tightly. I like your lighting and its not a bad photo. I think your surroundings just take away from it.
