Deformation... which one? help!

hi! here are my 3 sets for a photo contest "Deformation" in my photo club.
I can't decide which one is the best, and if the topic of the pics isn't too obvious for "deformation"

Set 1:

Set 3:

I'd go with set 3

The second and third pics in set 2 don't have enough dof to isolate the deformation so I'd go with 3.

I prefer the first set. The b/w set a mood of sorrow which suits the withered leaves.

Hmmm 1 or 2. I think I like 2 best on screen but I bet 1 would look best in print.

at first i was thinking #2, as the colors are beautiful, but i think #1 is my favorite. the B&W is more moody & artsy.

I like set 3, #1.

Number 1 in the set 3 is more striking in conveying a stark idea of deformation: the contrast with the b&w background enhances the blood-like impression on the dying leaves. I guess the ultimate effectiveness would depend on the quality of the printing.

ok... I took 3 A4 pints of set 3 and it looks really good the colors are very vibrant and the blacks are really black.
the contest is next week... I am wondering what other submissions will be
