Denver Skyline mystery lights

What were your exposure times? To me, the first seems the least exposed with the least amount of noise. The third, the most exposed with the most amount of noise. It's got to be the lens. Is the inside of the lens cleaned, too?

edit: btw, love the pics. Brings back memories. Lived in Denver for 8 years. Best years of my life. Eat a City Grille Burger for me, and a Chipotle burrito, too!

Thanks, for the reply, City Grill still has the best burgers in town. I have not had any other problems with this 18-55mm lens. Lens clean inside and out.

Yeah, I have only sen lens flare looking at sun, so it might be it.

I understand more now. Pic one was taken with 50mm lens and pic two and three with 18-55mm lens. Two kinds of flare.

The UFO explainations sounded more interesting:lol: than a lens flare.

Yeah, UFO's would have been cool but...........

Now that I know what caused it, how can I prevent it from happening in a photo like these?
