In Photoshop when trying to convert a JPEG into grayscale, dragging the Saturation sliders in the "Hue/Saturation" console should be avoided as it will destroy some contrast in the image.
Does the same hold true for the Saturation slider at the bottom of the "Basic" menu in Adobe Camera RAW in PS CS3? Will doing so also destroy some contrast?
