Desolation

    Taken this afternoon...not sure which version I like better, but both could use more work. Thoughts and critiques appreciated :)

    Can others edit my Photos:
    Photos NOT OK to edit
    With the title in mind I quite like the 2nd one!

    It really looks like the beginning of a nightmare...............

    It might just be because of where I live but the 1st looks quite inviting and friendly. More like home than desolation?

    B&W all the way. In the colour you've lost detail, the greens are too similar. In the B&W it shows up more detail. I think you've done some other editing at the same time as converting to. The second one looks like an old film shot. I like it.

    Thanks Ferny :) I did do a bit of dodge and burn on the second...which is why it needs more work. I converted using a channel mixer layer, but there were parts a bit too blown out...
