Please Comments. I'm trying to get better at taking good scenic pictures:
Am I seeing right?! Your photos darkens as the page goes down!!!
Your first photos are just too faded. I don't know if these are digital, you need to decrease the lightness and boost the contrast.
Composition wise.... nothing too exciting, but pretty well balanced. Try to think about what exactly is it that you want to capture.
The third photo is tilted... Looks more like you made a mistake than on purpose.
Last 2 photos need more/longer exposure.
So you are from Detroit area? I'm only 2 miles from downtown.
Well, one thing...most of your horizons are tilted. Might be good to straighten them. The sky is a bit washed out...maybe wait for better lighting. Could help to bump up the contrast. The last two are pretty dark. You could possibly use a longer shutter speed. Just my opinions. Good luck!
Thanks, this is the feedback I wanted!! Keep it coming. Never too harsh!!
Haha I just realized that the photos are taken on the other side of the bridge!
Yes they are. Taken in Windsor, Ontario Canada.
Some simple editing and croping could make them better pictures. Do you have a software editing program? Adjustment of the contrast and brightness levels can yield some nice results. It must have been a very cloudy day, but see what you think of this. I also cropped to a proportion that is more appealing (to me anyway) and leveled the horizon. Note how the picture is 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 both vertically and horizontally, now.
Hope this helps!
