I travel a lot for work and Santa bought me a Tenba D15C camera bag capable of hauling both my gear and my computer. Now I don't have to worry about jamming my DSLR and a couple of lenses into my briefcase...

What photo gear did you get?

Actually, the only photo gear I got was a UV Haze filter from my secret santa! That's ok though. I'm happy! :)

I got a 19-35mm zoom, but I traded it in for a Nikkor 28mm prime.

Cable release for my Elan7N and a tripod I can use 'till I have the money to buy somethin' sweet =P. Some film and photo mags. that I normally pick up because I don't have a subscription to yet.

I got a Canon 300D. It's my first digital camera, so I also got a lot of confusion and questions. Havin' great fun, though!

I got a film scanner for christmas :) . Unfortunately, it's turning out to be not so good. It crashes a lot and doesn't have a very good dust removal feature. Ah well; I think I can exchange it anyway. I'll have to get around to that.
I also got a camera bag.

I just recently started learning photography on my own and will be taking some classes next year (2005.) My family seems to think I display some talent already, so this Christmas almost everything I got was photography realated. The best thing this year was the digital camera, nothing super fancy but enough to keep me busy until the DSLR comes. The digital I got is a Fuji FinePix E510. I also got a cheap tripod with two camera mounts so I don't have to switch the mount over from my digital to my 35mm (I already have a Pentax K1000 that I got as an early birthday gift.) Besides that I got a small camera bag that will hold everything I have so far, including the odds and ends like batteries, a charger, and film which were all stocking stuffers.

Yay christmas! :) Glad to hear other people's christmas gifts too! Great idea for a thread! :)

I got a polarizing filter, remote shutter release, tripod and a subscription to practical photography. Oh and i'm planning on getting someone toner/dye for prints, maybe Colorvir effects kit.

That's cool, I want a remote shutter release myself. I recently picked up shutterbug at a grocery store, do you prefer practical photography?

mentos: Are you going to need all 100 now? Hopefull not it is nice to have extras. :)
