Hi,
I want to buy only ONE of these cameras:
Canon EOS 5D Mark II or
Canon EOS 60D
I would like to buy a 50mm, f1.4 lens for the camera. But I need to know something first. Maybe you guys can help me.
Imagine you use the lens with the 5D Mk II first. Let's say you use the settings ISO 100, f1.4, 1/80 sec. Distance to subject is 1 meter for a nice bokeh effect. Memoraize now the exact scene you can see on the photo you make.
Now you use the same lens on the 60D. You take the same settings: ISO 100, f1.4, 1/80 sec. Now in order to get the same scene on your photo, you need to have a distance of 1.6 meters (crop factor 1.6 on 60D).
Question: Do you get the same bokeh effect on both pictures? Or do you think the bokeh on the 5D Mark II is fattier because the camera is closer to the subject?
Let me know if there are any questions I should answer to make it possible for you to give me a correct answer.
Thanks
Michael
