Hello, when mounting an umbrella to your strobe what are the guidlines to follow for proper distance? Thank you...

While there may be unique situations where you won't want to, most of the time you'll want to use as much of the umbrella as you can. Usually, that will mean using the entire length of the shaft, with little to none sticking out beyond the umbrella holder. If your strobe also has a zoom feature, you'll generally want to zoom out to the smallest zoom number you can, again to best fill the umbrella.

If you find that the light is spilling beyond the edges of the umbrella, adjust the shaft length and zoom as needed so as not to waste light shooting out where you don't need it.

Great! Thank you!
