I just wanted to submit this for some criticism.
It's too small.... do you have a link to a larger version?
let's try this
i have no idea. It was at the zoo. I didn't record any info.
Interesting creature, well captured.
Try to crop out some more of the blown-out foreground, that takes away much of this photo. The way the turtle looks is nice.
to answer the topic of this thread, if thats what i am supposed to do, then nope, it really doesnt move me. i mean its well taken, and the colors are great. it would work well in like an encyclopedia or some animal/turtle book.
I am having trouble with the detail less foreground and that highlight near the back right of his shell.
"does it move you?" is a loaded question. To be moved by or feel an emotion from a photograph is personal and different for everyone. Maybe if we saw his face head on. Or if he was doing something cute. Personally; a turtle in any photo would not move me. If you love turtles or anything that is half the battle. The key is too get those pesky technical details correct. Consider every single element in the frame. That way your photos will have much more impact.
