Does it really matter...?

I was wanting to buy a 16GB Flash drive to save my photos to after I edit them so I can carry the edited ones with me, and I was wondering if the brand of flash drive really matters. I was going to get a Sandisk, but if the brand doesnt matter (I guess 16gb is 16gb with any name..) I was going to go with something cheaper. I know about the Cruzer software thing that pops up with the newer sandisks, but that doesnt matter much to me. Does the brand matter?

16gb flash drivers are pretty cheap now. Depending on how much you spend i bring along my 16gb ipod touch with some of my photo work, podcast, tunes and internet where there is wifi. Makes nice not having to bring the laptop along. But again depends on what you want to do....

Sandisk is a good brand and like the other guy said newegg.com. Get all my parts there all the time to build customer computers... Great fast and cheap.
