DONATING CANON 70-210 f/4 Macro-Zoom *READ CAREFULLY*

Morning bump for all interested parties.

Thanks to everyone who provided input to this thread concerning the adapter needed to mount this lens to a post 1987 canon camera, and special thanks to O Hey Tyler for identifying this and the 50mm 1.8 lens as an FD mount lens. I am going to wrap up this donation up a day or so early since there has been no new interest in a few days. There was some bit of debating on this one as O Hey Tyler has an older camera that mounts FD lenses. However, since Tyler himself said that he would rather see someone without that focal range considered first, We have decided to give the lens to Jaemie since she does not have any issues with purchasing the FD-EF adapter needed to mount this lens. We may be getting some photography gear from a family member that stopped shooting a while ago, so we might not be done with the donations quite yet. Congratulations Jaemie and i will try to get this out to the post office ASAP for you.

Lens is bubble wrapped, boxed up, and in the mail at the post office (made it with 5 minutes to spare)
USPS guesstimate time of arrival is Monday.
cant wait to see some photos shot with it.

Yaaaay!

To Jason and his wife: Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! This is just such a wonderful gesture. What you're doing is extraordinarily considerate and meaningful, especially to someone like me who simply cannot afford this kind of equipment. I'm very touched, honored, and happy be selected.

I've ordered the adapter and can't wait to start using this lens! I'll post photos as soon as possible.

A huge thank you, once again! :D

you are very welcome, and as with all our donations, we hope the lens will be well loved and well used.

Yay! I am glad someone got it who needs it! This is a great thing you are doing. :)

Once again, very generous of you. I hope Jaemie enjoys it.

The lens arrived today! Huge thanks, again, to Jason (pixmedic) and his wife for the generous donation. :)

I haven't yet received the adapter I ordered (USPS was supposed to deliver it today, but it's listed as "Missent," of all silly things, so it'll probably arrive tomorrow), so I can't try the lens on my camera, yet. In the meantime, here are a couple of pics of the lens:

Congrats on the new lens! What a great thing Mr. and Mrs. Pixmedic are doing!

I'm excited too: On a somewhat related note, my new adapter (the one I mentioned I was about to order) arrived today. I'm stuck in the hospital at the moment, but can't wait to put it to use as soon as I get home, hopefully in a few days! Woo Hoo!

Hooray for FD glass!

Congrats Jaemie and Thanks to Pixmedic for doing a good turn in donating all this kit to people who can use it.
