OK. Heres my first upload to the critique forum. I am aware of two issues already. The depth of field - does this work or not? And - yes, the reflection, it just was not possible to catch the full reflection (unless I was happy to fall in the river!). I would very much like your comments.
By the way, the photo is of a female Mallard Duck on the River Avon, Malmesbury, Wilts. UK

VERY nice. I like the angle of light. I think the DoF if fine. If it was much deeper, there would be little separation of the head and beak from the body. I don't miss seeing the entire reflection. It IS a reflection... not the subject. In fact, this may be better.

    Nice job!

I think the DOF works for you in this shot.

This is excellent! Nice dof and reflection. I also really like the feet under the water. On the down side, its a shame that you cropped off part of the reflection.

now thats a good duck shot!! no offence to other ones, but most of them suck. i think being able to see the feet and head reflection definatly makes it a nice stronger image than most. the image is also very clear, and sharp.

the only thing i dont like (it might just be my peeve) is the head reflection is slightly cut off.

    good job :)
