Dust!

I've got a bit of dust on my sensor. Shows up like hot pixels on my photos. I'm assuming it is dust because it is in the same spots on my pics.

How do I clean it off without boogering up the skunk works?

I use a Giottos rocket blower. I've never had to do a wet clean.

I have dust that only shows up with the lens stopped right down to f/22.

I use the copperhill pec pads sensor cleaning stuff and it works Ok but still see dust specs at f/22. But dust isn't an issue at f/16 or below.

I wanna send mine to canon for a proper clean.

if it looks like hot pixels, it may well be that and not dust. Are they dark blobs?

Yes, dust looks like dark blobs...hot pixels are usually single pixels that are a different color.

I've always just done a 'blow' clean...but I've got to do it again soon. As mentioned, it shows up more when the lens is stopped down...I've been shooting with wider apertures so I don't see it much.

It's actually pretty easy to just clean up an image with photoshop....if it's a few images here and there.
