From our eagle shoot on the 28th. Most of the eagles were on the other side of the river so it was really hard getting a decent shot. My 400 wasn't enough. I think our buddy with his 600mm had issues too lol And it was freakin' cold as hell... Only got a hand full of decent shots (I guess?).

Fun shot :p Taken with my P&S. Looking through the front of the 500mm at my buddy with his 600mm.

Beautiful shots!

P.S. I'm from BC too. :)

I know I should be loving on the eagles, but that blue jay pic is the one I really like.

(is it a blue jay?)

Thanks guys :) I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the blue bird, but I know for sure it's not a blue jay. My friend is pretty much a bird expert. I'll try to find out :)

^^ You are correct!

Looks like a Belted Kingfisher.

That's right if i remember correctly, a male one to be more specific as the females have brown markings in the breast area.

(I'm aware this isn't a bird forum lol)

even tho the eagle is a rare bird, their just so boring to look at unless in mid flight. JUst my opinion.
