    What is that?

    And why "crap picture"? And why "salvaged"?
    This looks perfect to my eyes.
    Crisp and clear, very near (even with my 300mm lense would I NEVER get as close to any wildlife as some of you on TPF do...) - and with such a dignified expression of eagle pride... could become a POSTAL STAMP!

    I own a 300 and 500mm lens, that is still close, unless you enlarged greatly, if so the sharpness is unreal.

    that is no crap shot...very nicely done. is that the full frame, or was it cropped? you would have to be fairly close to get that detail.
