    Still working on the photojournalism angle. This is a final edit for a local paper. All opinions and comments REALLY appreciated.

    Hi Jon,

    Camera Left is a 13 year old Navy Cadet and Camera Right is his 17 year old commander.

    I didn't know this, but when they retire a flag, they burn it. There was a very lavish (for a small Texas Town) ceremony for this. It was really quite beautiful.

    Anyhoo, I thought these kids were pretty neat.

    Good shot. Photojournalism is tough to say the least. You got off easy photographing such a dramatic subject. I would like to see more from this shoot.

    My general approach is to put the camera on continuous and fill up all my cards and or use all my film. Of course consider all the angles. Generally I leave the telephoto at home. Some how wide and up close makes things more personal.
