Photos NOT OK to edit
Can someone help me with the over exposer of this photo and guid me through how you go about fixing it? What program was used and such, I am a new guy with very little talent for editing. Any help at all and I'll be greatful.
It won't let me post the image! What do I do?

I'll give it a try when I get home... I don't think that we'll be able to do much because once it's overexposed the details are lost in that area when PSing... at least that's my expierence...

that's a great building! Where is it?
Boblybill: IMHO your edit is a bit too yellow.

Sorry, but with digital you can't fix overexposure except by not overexposing. Exposure is critical in photography. With negative film you have options during printing, but with slide film and digital, there is little you can do.

This is as far as I tried to go. Levels in Photoshop. First overall: midtones to -80.
Then I selected the building with the lasso tool and a feather of 150px and lowered the midtones selectively again to -10.

I would not dare to go any further.

I agree... now that I look at it... but like I and Digital Matt said there isn't much that can be done with it without making it look fake.

Thanks guy I'll try to retake the shot this week. It is going to be sunny a few times so I'll give it a shot. It is not easy to get it that centered while flying by on a RC airplane. I figured it would be easier to edit it than retake it.
