Editing Sun Light Distortion

Well I have this photo i took for fun but the angle of the sun in the photo created a visual distortion (not sure of the technical name) smack in the center of it. Does anyone know how i can edit this distortion out?

It's probably possible to fix but it's beyond my skills. I would take this as a lesson photo. And learn what to do next time. Shoot with the sun to the side or back of the camera (lens hood and/or a lens with a good coating helps). It would also help with the overblown sky.

Trust me I know what it's like to shoot a photo you really like but have something technicly wrong with it that ruins it. I have manny thousands of these "lesson photos".

I tried to do an edit but it is beyond my skill level. I could get her forhead and hair clean of blue but the eye nope. Might be possible for someone really advanced. Like Remi said just try and use it as a lesson photo
