editting

Hi, I wasn't really sure where to post this thread, so apologies if it is the wrong location.

I am an amateur Photographer whose main subject is animals, primarily my dog. I love taking photos but have no skill in editting. I would be greatful for any help!

What editing have you done already on this? It looks pretty good, but you could bring up the shade areas a bit.

Animals look good in portrait type photos and you did a good job with this one. Cute dog.
Another approach is to get photos that show the dog doing/playing/working, in other words action shots. There lies the challenge, and a lot of the enjoyment of animal and wildlife photography.
