Elan 7 problem

I have an elan 7 that will not load film sometimes. i load the film and the film icon just blinks. after several attempts it will finally load. i take a pic and then the low battery icon blinks even though they are new batteries. i turn off the camera, turn it back on and then it shows a full battery icon.

does anyone have an idea on what might be causing this?

i am suspecting its something with the battery contacts, but how do i clean those?

Try using a pencil eraser to wipe off the contacts and then blow it off with some canned air. I've had luck in the past with this method. good luck.

thank you for the reply. i tried that, but it didn't work for very long

i emailed keh for a repair quote.

i love this camera and i would hate to junk it, but i can get another body for around $130
