elevator doors

    liked the blur and contrast. Nikon N80 with 50mm Nikkor 1.8f. Ilford 400 film and a red filter.

    hi cormut!

    since you put this in critique..ill give it a go.


    1) im not fond of the vignetting on the sides...was this intentional or an unfortunate byproduct?

    2) i love lots of grain in black and white prints, good work

    3) the angle of the shot doesnt sit well with me...im not sure why..it has a video feel to it, like some one capturing spooky images with a recorder.

    hi, and thanks for your comments. The vignetting wasn't intentional, it stands out a lot more on the right side. And I agree with you about the symmetry. This was an end-of the roll shot, but next time I will experiment with different angles.
