Yesterday I had a chance to take a few shots at Emerald Lake B.C. where the snow was deep and the view awesome.

Oh wow. For the time being, the Emerald Lake is not emerald at all. It is all white.
Beautiful winter scenes, just the kind of scenes we'll never get where I am. For once because there are absolutely no moutains around here, but NONE at all, and because we just do not get winters of this kind. Last year it was different and we did have snow and frost for quite a prolonged period in time (most of it in March, mind you), but now? Three days of winter and that seems to have been it! But little do we know what March has in store, eh?

Great shots, as always. The shot of Mount Burgess is fantastic.

I haven't been up to Emerald Lake in a long time...never in the winter. A friend of mine worked the summer at the restaurant and we used to camp down at Kicking Horse.

Sweet scenes. I prefer the second one myself, but mostly because the track across the lake in the first one looks like it needs a cross country skier in it or something.
