    I posted this in the General, but alas had nary a comment. I was looking for some critique using some old macro filters.

    Nice photo just a shame i'm not a brown fan 'cause there's so much of it :) I'm assuming it's a guitar we're looking at. Might be just me buy i think the DOF would be better the over way round. The smaller strings are in focus nicely but because of the their size compared to the foreground strings they don't catch my eye straight away. First thing i see is OOF.
    Remember this is not a critique as such, just my observations from the first things i saw when i looked at it. Not being a musician may bias my thinking too.
    Sorry if i confuse anyone with all my technical musical instrument terminology. The only thing i can play is my armpit :)

    This looks like a close up of a guitar.



    I'm guessing you were trying for more than that, so maybe that helps?


    It just doesn't sing, pop, jump out, etc to me.
